Welcome back to another week of school.  Only 24 more school days before the Christmas break.  Hard to believe, actually, but we have a ton of work to do in those 24 days! Hopefully this week we will be finishing our "Ma famille" unit, as we finish our our dream homes.  Mr. Duplessie will be coming to help us put Audacity over the pictures that you have chosen for your "Masion de rêve" on Wednesday, so Monday and Tuesday will be getting prepared for his arrival. Thursday and Friday will be our regualar routine, which is always nice to have for a change.  Don't forget to wear school colors, blue and white on Friday to show your support for our food drive.  Canned soup and crackers are the recommended donation items, but we will welcome any donation. Have a great week everyone.  Work hard for the next 24 school days and you can rest up over the break!

Harkins has dedicated Friday, November 18 as Backwards Day in support of local food banks. Friday, November 18th, has also been designated as wear blue day to support "Bully Awareness Month".  We as a school, city, province, country and world need to set examples of how we can work together in harmony. A simple act of wearing an article of  blue clothing , shows that we all want to help our children learn how to receive/give that positive attention that is craved by us all. Harkins staff looks forward to seeing  the waves of blue clothing worn backwards on Friday.

Today we had an amazing presentation from the great people at the Kouchibouguac National Park, teaching the students about habitat.  They really enjoyed the presentation and had interesting questions to ask at the end.  I was impressed on how well my class behaved for our guest.  Thank you everyone!
