There are only 3 weeks left to sell tickets for the Home and School Re-do a Room contest! Any student who has sold tickets and brought in their money will have their name put in for a draw on May 11. This is a draw for a 50 dollar prize!
Remember, the draw for the winner of the fabulous Re-do a Room will take place on June 1.
A reminder to all students and parents: this is a short week for students. There will be no school Thursday, May 3 due to NBTA Meetings, and no school on Friday, May 4 due to Subject Council Meetings.
The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to
accept film entries for the second annual Kin Film Festival. All School
District 16 students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted
in one of two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category (The Communities Greatest Need). The top 10
films in each category will be screened on May 12th, 2012 at Miramichi
Empire Studio 5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for
the winners in each category.
The students and staff at Harkins Elementary would like to thank the many volunteers who help out at the school. You are an important part of making Harkins Elementary such a great school.
This spring Harkins Elementary will be having its first ever “Harkins Has Healthy Hearts” walking club. Each Tuesday at 4pm we as a school community will meet at different locations around the Miramichi and walk some of our beautiful trails.
