Science Fair Projects 2016

It is Science Fair Project time!  Students will be working in class to prepare for the Science Fair.  Although they are very excited, they need a lot of support to complete a project of this size.  Students are expected to research their topic and complete their project and will be given several weeks of class time to work.  However, poster boards can be completed at home.  The District STEM Fair will be held at Nelson School on April 14.  Those students selected to represent the school at the Stem Fair will be asked to provide their own transportation to and from Nelson on April 14 from 8:30 – 12:00.  Students must bring all materials required to complete their project by Tuesday March 29.  It is very important that students complete the experiment 3 – 5 times prior to the Science Fair to make sure that their results are accurate and the data they have collected is measurable.  The School Fair will be held on Friday April 8, 2016.  First, students will be judged in their classroom.  The judges will select several from each homeroom to compete in the school Science Fair.  Then, the top 7 projects will represent Harkins at the STEM Fair.
