Just a reminder to everyone the first day of school this year is Wednesday, September 5. As usual the kindergarten students will have a staggered entry on Wednesday and Thursday. Welcome Back!
School supplies for all grades have now been listed. The most recent document contains those for grades 1,2,4,and 5. Kindergarten and grade 3 have already been added to the website. This is for the benefit of those who have not paid for school supplies to be purchased for their child.

The top 2 vote-getters from New Brunswick will advance to the final round of the Canada's History for Kids contest. Be sure click on the "vote" button to the right of the page.
Students have been working on project Based Learning linked to the Social Studies curriculum. A showcase of their projects will be held on Monday, June 18th. Parents can come to view the projects between 10:30 and 11:30.
Tuesday, June 19th
Grades 3-5 students will be attending the District 16 Track and Field Day at JMH. Students will need to have the proper footwear and clothing to participate in athletic events and should prepare for a long day as the day goes from 9:00 -2:00. Students are encouraged to bring sunscreen, a hat and lots of water. Our Home and School has offered to buy the students pizza for lunch so students will just need to bring a small snack with them. If your child does not like pizza please pack a bagged lunch.
Wednesday, June 20th
Everyone is invited to the drama production "Anne of Green Gables" on Wednesday, June 13 at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $5.00 a seat if purchased in advance. If there are tickets available, they will be sold at the door for $7.00 per seat. Come meet Anne and the folks of Avonlea!On Wednesday night The Drama Club will also be selling pizza coupons for $20 each as a fundraiser for the club.
Please note - there has been a change in the last day of school for students. The last day for this school year will now be Thursday, June 21. It will be a full day.
