We want to remind parents, under the Safety Guidelines for skating, it is important that children have properly fitted skates and wear gloves or mitts. As well, skates should be transported safely. A CSA approved hockey/speed skating helmet is preferable. If you would like to be on the ice with your child, please be sure to wear skates. If you happen to have any skates or helmets at home that you could donate to the school, it would be appreciated. Happy Skating season!
The Harkins Elementary Remembrance Ceremony will be held on Monday, November 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the gymnasium. Students who belong to such groups as Sparks, Cubs, Girl Guides, etc may wear their uniforms. The public is invited to attend.
Parents and guardians are invited to complete an online survey on child care in New Brunswick as part of the public consultation being conducted by the Child Care Sector Task Force.
The survey is available at : www.gnb.ca/engageNB
The survey will remain online until Nov. 2. It represents a chance for New Brunswickers to tell the taskforce what kind of child care they are looking for, what options they have found, what works and what does not work in the current system.
