Halloween Celebration

Posted: October 28, 2015

On Friday, October 30th, the Home and School is planning a fun-filled morning of activities for all of the “bootiful” students of Harkins Elementary!! Children may come to school in their costumes if they wish, but please note that masks and accessories (“swords,” etc.) are not permitted at school.  Students will be grouped according to grade level and, led by their teachers, will rotate through each of six activities, including the “Gross Room,” Craft Station, “Hot Pumpkin,” Hallowe’en Freeze Dance, Hallowe’en Bingo, and the Treat Station.  Please note that all items at the Treat Station will be available at a cost of 50 cents each; if you would like to donate items to sell at this station, you may drop them off at the school during the day on Thursday, or by 8:20 a.m. on Friday morning.  Please remember that all treats must be nut-free. At recess, students will change back into their regular clothing and the remainder of the day will be as usual, but with a Hallowe’en theme.  Like last year, the school has purchased large Hallowe’en bags for each student, in which they may place their costumes and treats to take home.We would like to thank the Home and School for all of their time and effort in putting this event together; the children are really looking forward to it!!
