Dear Volunteers,We need to get all of
the Policy 701 and Criminal Record Checks in to the office by Thursday. So if you haven’t already sent it in please
do. As stated on the previous message
home, the Policy 701 can be done at http://701.nbed.nb.ca. Please print a copy and send it to the
school. When getting your Criminal Record Check, tell them you are volunteering
for Harkins Elementary and it will be free of charge.
If you experience any
difficulty with this please call the school at 627-4087. We don’t have any extra volunteers so please
let us know asap if there is a problem.

Tomorrow we will have a treat feast for part of the afternoon.
Some parents have asked for the number of students in our class
so they can send in treats. There are 14 students in our class.
Please do not feel like you have to send in treats, however
if you do choose to send one, please remember we are a nut free school.
We had our costume party last week so please don't send any tomorrow.

Deedee deer joined our class today and started teaching us about the letter “d”.
We have two student in our class who’s names start
with the letter “d”; Devon and Daniel.
We took home some homework sheets today.
These are due back on Friday.
Remember that Friday is our Terry Fox run
so try to have your pledge forms in by then.

We have been having a lot of fun learning about the alphabet.
We are using the Zoophonics characters to make it easier
and more fun to learn.
We have met Allie Alligator who taught us about letter "a';
Bubba Bear who has taght us about letter "b";
and today we met Catina Cat who is teaching us about the letter "c".
In Math we are learning a lot about Patterns.
For example we learned that
