Welcome to KMC!

  I am so excited to be back for the fall of 2012.    I have a wonderful group of students again this year.   I am truely the most blessed Kindergarten teacher.   There is quite a bit of paperwork going home this week   but please make sure to fill out all the information needed                and send it back as quickly as possible. KMC Note

         I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter!                 As part of our homework this week we are finishing           thank you letters to the Easter bunny.            We are also working on Geometry and measurements    and the sight words "this" and "there".            Remember to read to yourself and other nightly.          We are celebrating three birthdays this month.    Happy birthday to Matthew M, Katelynn and Carson.       Have a wonderful week! KMC Note

       This is another great week in KMC!             We will be researching and learning about leprechauns,     writing a story about leprechans and playing math games     with a St. Patick's Day theme.   Note:  Remember to send back your forms for Parent-Teacher apts.         Also, there is a special St Patrick's lunch on Thursday for $5.   Have a great Week! Happy Valentine's Day!

       Today we will be learning using a Valentine's Day theme.      We will be reading about friendship, using hearts for     counting in math and lots of other Valentine's fun activities.   A special thank you to all the parents who sent in yummy treats!   Mrs. Mountain-Collette :-D

KMC Note

   Report Card time is coming up so students are being assessed on    what has been covered thus far.         Please make sure your child is practicing their sight words    daily.          Students took home Scholastic catalogues for November and   December today to make sure we get the orders back before   Christmas. Please support your child's love of reading by                getting them books for Christmas. When you order                you also support the lassroom because we can get                bonus points to get books and other supplies to help                support learning and make it more fun.   Have a great weekend, Mrs. Mountain-Collette

KMC Home Fun

Hi KMC students and parents,   Wow we have a lot going on this week.       Please sign and return permission slip for class trips.            Popcorn orders are taken tomorrow for Wed. popcorn.            If you would like to have pizza on Friday bring in $3 by      Thursday.          The Terry Fox Run is this Friday morning at 10:30.      Please bring in your Pledge $ by Friday.        School pictures were sent home today.            School fundraiser information went home today.         Remember to read tonight and every night!       Homework sheets are due on Friday.         Study your sight words (see attachment).     Have a wonderful evening, Mrs. Mountain-Collette

KMC Notes

We had a great day today!      We had popcorn.              We learned new songs with Miss Lawlor's class.           And we made cool patterns in math.          Remember that tomorrow is picture day.     So wear your favorite cloths.            September book orders will be sent next week,        so look through the catalogue and get all your favorites.      The bigger the order the more books we can also         get for the class!   Have a wonderful evening, Mrs. Mountain- Collette

KMC Home Fun

  Today was an exciting day!      We are doing homework for the first time.     Or as I like to call it  "Home Fun" because learning is FUN!         Students who paid for their agendas took them home today      with their homework in them.        We are voracious readers so we read every night.             Students took home a two sided worksheet which is due on     Friday.            Popcorn will be sold tomorrow for 50 cents.          Have a wonderful evening, Mrs. Mountain-Collette
