Your work will help students achieve, succeed and lead happy, productive lives as a result of your input into the environment and culture of learning.
The Easter Spring Toy Sale is being held over on Tuesday!
This will give students a second chance to purchase a stuffed toy at $5, in support of the Harkins Elementary Drama Club!

Please note, there will be no school for kindergarten students (only the kindergarten students) on Wednesday, April 4. This is due to the Teddy Bear picnic. Kindergarten teachers will be working with the students who are coming to the school next year.
The Harkins Elementary Drama Club is hosting an Easter Spring Toy Sale on Friday, March 30.
All stuffies, including collectibles, are only $5 - the perfect gift for Easter - or any other special day!
This event will be held on the third floor, across from the gym.
Teachers will take turns visiting with their classes, where students can choose their favourite toy for just $5 and also support their schoolmates in the upcoming school drama, Anne of Green Gables.

It is time once again for our Teddy Bear Picnic! It will take place Wednesday, April 4. This is a pre-kindergarten screening to help us get ready for your kindergarten child coming in September. Parents should have received their appointment time in the mail. If not, please contact the school. Also, if you have not yet registered your child for kindergarten in September, please contact the school and we will get everything set up for you.
March Break is next week, March 5-9. The Miramichi Cross Country Ski Club is
offering a March Break special to school students to get them out on the
trails. From Saturday March 3 to Sunday March 11
the all day trail pass fee is $2.00. If students need to rent skis, boots and poles, they are available
for $2.00 a set as well. What a great way to spend the Break!
Friday, March 2 is Winter Activity Day for Harkins Elementary. Students will participate in skating, skiing, curling, etc. The afternoon will see the return of our popular Variety Show, which may hold a surprise or two for our students. We are selling Winter Activity pins/ribbons for $2 per set. These pins were designed by Emily Drisdelle. See the attached memo for further details.
Wednesday, February 29 is Pink Shirt day. This is in support of the Anti-Bullying Campaign. Students have been busy making pink bracelets with anti-bullying tips and slogans. Students will meet in the gym where all bracelets will be joined together to show Harkins Elementary's full support of Anti-Bullying.
A reminder to students and parents of the Minister's Exemption Day on Friday, February 24. Since teachers are involved in professional development, there will be no school for students.
