YEAR END ACTIVITY DAY – Friday, June 17th
To celebrate a successful school year, students will participate in a Year End Celebration, on Friday June 17.
The K-2 students will be bused to French Fort cove to participate in activities in the morning. They will come back to the school for pizza, milk and ice cream (not a BBQ as stated in the June newsletter), and carnival activities in the afternoon.
Friday, June 24th will be a half day for students. They will be dismissed at 11:45 a.m., following the early dismissal (storm day) schedule. If you are unsure of the previous plans that you stated earlier in the year, please check with your classroom teacher. The Harkins After School Progarm will be open until 5:30 p.m.
On Saturday, June 11 at 9:00 a.m., we are meeting with Harkins Middle School students and parents to work on the Campbell Street stone wall. This is in partnership with various businesses in our city who are donating their time and materials. We are encouraging you to bring your children with you so we can all work together. Come out, enjoy the morning, and show your school and community spirit!
This will hopefully be the first of many partnership activities with Harkins Middle School!
Congratulations to students of 4-Donovan, who won a contest sponsored by Kings Landing. The entire class won a trip to King’s Landing. Special congratulations to Kevin Bjurstrom, Katherine Bradford, B.J. Bjurstrom, Abby Larsen, Shelby Morris, and Benson Doak. Also, a BIG thank you to Ms. Carnahan for all her help.
Please return the GREEN Homework Support Centre survery, that was sent home on May 19th, as soon as possible We need this data back in order to determine whether such a program is viable in September.
Thanks for your support !
The grade 5 students will have a Bake Sale on Tuesday, May 17. All proceeds will go toward their end of year celebration. Students have voted (100%) to have a Field Trip to the Neguac/Tracadie area, highlighted by a dinner at Chez Raymond.
After lengthy discussions regarding an end of year celebration for the Grade 5 students, we have come up with two possible options.
The first option is to have the regular dinner (banquet) in the cafeteria.
