Important End of Year Information

YEAR END ACTIVITY DAY – Friday, June 17th To celebrate a successful school year, students will participate in a Year End Celebration, on Friday June 17. The K-2 students will be bused to French Fort cove to participate in activities in the morning. They will come back to the school for pizza, milk and ice cream (not a BBQ as stated in the June newsletter), and carnival activities in the afternoon. The 3-5 students will do carnival activities in the morning, followed by pizza, milk and ice cream for lunch (not a BBQ as stated in the June newsletter), then to French Fort Cove in the afternoon for activities. Volunteers are needed to help serve pizza at lunch (11:30), or help out at the carnival. Please call the school at 627-4087. GRADE 3-5 DISTRICT TRACK MEET Tuesday, June 21 The students in grades 3 – 5 will travel to James M. Hill to participate in the District Track and Field Day on Tuesday, June 21st. Students are asked to bring a lunch, water bottle, sunscreen and sneakers. K – 2 FUN DAY Wednesday, June 22 The K-2 students will be at the school for a fun filled morning of activities. Focus of the event is for the students to have fun while experiencing some of the traditional track and field events that the 3-5’s take part in. June 24 – last day of school is a half day The last day of school for students will be a half day. Therefore, dismissal on Friday, June 24th will be at 11:45 a.m. and we will follow the early dismissal (storm day) bus schedule. The general rule for this bus schedule is that the students return home at 11:45 a.m. on the bus that they took to school in the morning. Some parents have made alternate plans for day care and babysitting purposes, which was indicated earlier in the year. If you will be picking up your child that day please write a note to your child’s teacher indicating your intentions. If you are unsure of the previous plans that you stated earlier in the year, please check with your classroom teacher as soon as possible. Please make sure arrangements are in place prior to Friday!
