We had a wonderful week in Grade One getting ready for Thanksgiving! I'm sure all the parents enjoyed receiving their child's "handprint turkey" on Thursday. Everyone did a great job and had lots of fun creating their masterpiece. Next week the students will bring home their poetry journals for their reading. Please allow your child to present a few different poems to you and your family each evening. They have been working very hard on these and particularly love the Thanksgiving poems and songs.
I wish each of you a joyful Thanksgiving with your loving children!! Enjoy being together :)
How wonderful it would be if we could help our children and grandchildren to learn thanksgiving at an early age. Thanksgiving opens the doors. It changes a child's personality. A child is resentful, negative—or thankful. Thankful children want to give, they radiate happiness, they draw people. -- Sir John Templeton
