Ella Curtis, Blackville resident, participated in the war effort in 1943.  She trained service men in Canada and was scheduleed to go to Guam in 1946. Ella's experiences remind us of the fever of the times when Hilter was threatening and resources were running thin. Ella's role was significant for alll women of today who have since navigated into the man's world. Her pioneering and courage to lead her peers in breaking ground for women to enter non-traditional fields of employment. She is decorated by the Canadian Military and it is my honor to present her story on line so you too can learn about this aspect of World War II.
