The Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to inform Abbey, Jasmine, Robyn & Andrea, that their film, 'Stop Bullying', has been chosen as one of the ten finalists in the Open Category of the First Annual Kin Film Fest.Also, Mrs. Donovan's Grade 4's film, on 'Volunteering', has been chosen as one of the ten finalists in the Kin Category of the First Annual Kin Film Fest.
Wednesday, May 4 is the last day for the ticket money for the Re-do a Room Contest to be handed in to the office. Since students do not have school on Thursday or Friday, all money has to be in on Wednesday! Stay tuned for the name of the winner, to be drawn on Mother's Day!
We would like to invite you to our showcase of the projects created in our enrichment block. This will take place Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the gymnasium.This is an opportunity for you to see what our students have created. Our project based learning was titled "School Safety".
The following is the schedule for the showcase:
10:25= Students will make their way to the gymnasium to view the performance based projects.
10:35-10:50 = skit, “Campbell Street”
10:50-10:53 = rap song “Harkins Safety Rap”
10:53-10:55 = song “Campbell Street”
10:58-11:00 = Radio Commercials.
Mr. Sonier, our Grade 5 Math teacher, will be offering extra help each Tuesday from 3:30-4:30. This will take place starting April 19 until the students begin writing the Provincial Math Assessment, on May 26. Any students who attend must have a pre-arranged drive home at 4:30.

Miramichi Kinsmen and School District 16 are pleased to accept film
entries for the first annual Kin Film Festival. All School District 16
students are invited to participate. Films can be submitted in one of
two categories: Open and The Kinsmen Category. The top 10 films in each
category will be screened on May 7th, 2011 at Miramichi Empire Studio
5. Cash prizes of $500, $250 and $100 will be awarded for the winners
in each category.
